Last updated: August 26, 2026

Gesco Construction Inc. is committed to protecting the privacy of the people who visit its website and who use its services, in accordance with Law 25 (An Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information). This policy explains what information we collect, why, with whom it is shared, where it is stored and what your rights are.

Privacy officer

André Jr. Robidoux

For any question about your personal information, to exercise your rights or to file a complaint.

Information we collect

We collect only the information required to provide our services.

  • Identification and contact details: first name, last name, email address and telephone number.
  • Project information: the address and city of the project, the region, the type of project and the description you send us.
  • Documents you attach: the plans or other files you upload in the quote request form.
  • Job applications: for a job application, the position sought, your resume and the message that comes with it.
  • Technical information: our web server logs record the IP address, the date and the browser type of visits, for security purposes.

How we collect it

We collect this information directly from you, when you fill out a quote request or job application form on this site, when you write to us or when you call us. We do not buy personal information from anyone and we do not collect it from third parties.

Why we use it

  • Respond to your quote request and prepare an estimate.
  • Coordinate, carry out and follow up on the agreed work.
  • Communicate with you about your project and follow up after the work.
  • Process your application for an open position.
  • Meet our legal, tax and contractual obligations.
  • Keep the website secure and prevent abuse.

We do not use your information for any other purpose without obtaining your consent.

Consent

By sending us your information through one of our forms, you consent to our using it for the purposes described above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting the privacy officer whose details appear above. Withdrawing your consent may, however, prevent us from acting on your request.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for any advertising purpose.

Your information may be shared only in the following cases:

  • Our hosting provider, Amazon Web Services, which hosts this website and stores its backups.
  • The professionals and subcontractors assigned to your project, where this is necessary to carry out the work, and only for the information required.
  • The competent authorities, where the law requires it of us.

Service providers that process information on our behalf are bound by confidentiality and may not use it for any other purpose.

Hosting outside Quebec

This website and its backups are hosted by Amazon Web Services, in a data centre located in Virginia, in the United States. The information you send us through the forms on this site is therefore stored outside Quebec.

We took this factor into account when choosing our provider, and we require of it protective measures comparable to those applicable in Quebec. If you prefer not to send information through the site, you can reach us by telephone.

Retention period

We keep your information for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, then we destroy it.

  • Quote request with no follow-up: 3 years from the last contact.
  • Client and project file: 7 years after the end of the work, in order to meet our tax, contractual and warranty obligations.
  • Job application: 1 year after it is received, unless you authorize us to keep it longer.
  • Technical server logs: 12 months.

Security measures

We take reasonable measures to protect your information: encrypted transmission of the site (HTTPS), access limited to the people who need it in the course of their duties, separate accounts and passwords, and regular backups. As no system is infallible, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies

This site uses no advertising, audience measurement or behavioural tracking tools. It sets only the cookies required for it to work, for example to remember the display language you have chosen. You can block them in your browser settings, which may affect certain features of the site.

Your rights

  • Access: obtain confirmation that we hold information about you and receive a copy of it.
  • Correction: have inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information corrected.
  • Withdrawal of consent: stop consenting to the use of your information at any time.
  • Deletion and de-indexing: request that information be destroyed or that its dissemination cease.
  • Portability: receive, in a structured and commonly used technological format, the computerized information you have provided to us.

To exercise one of these rights, write to the privacy officer whose details appear above. We respond within 30 days of receiving your request. Identification may be required in order to confirm your identity.

Handling of complaints

If you are dissatisfied with our response or with the way we handle your information, address your complaint to the officer named above. We will acknowledge receipt of it and inform you of the outcome of our review.

You may also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, at cai.gouv.qc.ca.

Confidentiality incidents

In the event of an incident involving personal information, we take reasonable measures to reduce its consequences and to prevent it from happening again. If the incident presents a risk of serious harm, we notify the people concerned as well as the Commission d'accès à l'information, and we record it in a register.

Changes to this policy

We may change this policy in order to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
