High-strength concrete floors
Whether for a basement floor or a garage floor, the concrete used must offer greater strength than that of the foundations. Depending on the project, adding fibres may also be considered in order to improve how the concrete behaves in tension, reduce the effects of drying shrinkage and lower the risk of cracking.
Concrete pouring and weather conditions
In general, the basement floor and the garage floor are poured at the same time, once the roof has its final covering. This stage prevents the concrete finish from being damaged by rain.
